ABOUT FLORE DORCELY-MOHR

Flore Dorcely-Mohr | CareerWize Solutions

Hi, Iā€™m Flore Dorcely-Mohr, your Recruiting Auntie--I genuinely enjoy connecting talent to opportunity. A big area of focus for me is creating, developing, and supporting programs that address equity in access disparities and facilitate successful career outcomes for marginalized or historically excluded populations. I am particularly passionate about curating remote work resources with career management topics for students, interns, and early (not necessarily young) or new professionals.

One of the challenging barriers to remote work for all is unconscious (or blatantly conscious) bias in recruiting, hiring, engaging, leading, and promoting remote workers. I believe the expansion of remote work options, with sufficient intention and infrastructure, holds the promise of more diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging for everyone, but we have a long road ahead. Ensuring that people of all ages, genders, races, and cultural backgrounds enjoy the benefits of this worldwide remote revolution is something I care about deeply.

I transitioned from a Senior Director of an Online Career Services role to a recruiter and have a realistic perspective about:

  • How talented, but historically excluded or marginalized populations can properly position themselves for consideration.

  • Guidance on strategically working with recruiters and approaching hiring managers focused on diversity initiatives.

  • Dispelling myths on how recruiters sort through and manage large pools of candidates applying for remote roles.
